About This Item
London: Martin Secker, (1914). First edition, first printing. This is a near fine copy. The paper wraps are bright to the front and rear panels, with some slight creasing at the spine. The bookplate of poet Leonard Clark is affixed to the verso of the cover. There are slight spots of internal foxing, however the rough-cut text blocks are clean and crisp. This copy is free from previous owners ink and is, overall, in near fine condition.
Abercrombie considers the epic form a species of literature and not a department of sociology, archaeology or ethnology. A distinct work from a Dymock poet.
