First edition, first impression, presentation copy inscribed by the author.; 8vo; illustrated; publisher's red cloth, titles to spine in black, with the dust jacket, some mild spotting to fore edge and contents. A very nice copy in the little chipped and frayed dust jacket.
With the author's signed presentation inscription to the front free endpaper, 'To Capt. Harry Cleveland from his sincere friend Jeffery Farnol Ap. 4. 28'. A marvellous book of essays on famous bouts from the eighteenth century to the time of the book's poublication.
