About This Item

Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1954. Seventh Printing. Hardcover. Crisp, clean pages except for a private owner's raised seal on the front free endpaper; the full blue cloth cover shows dimming of the gilt titles and decoration at spine and front, along with a few small, white specks at the lower front and a touch of softening at spine ends, but is otherwise excellent. Dust jacket bears fading of the lettering at the spine, numerous but very small scuffs along the spine and foreedges, a few small, closed edge tears around spine ends, and some edge chipping at spine ends and corners, otherwise well-kept, clean and attractive, now protected in a clear sleeve. xv, 896pp. incl. index; b/w + color illus.
