London, 1713. Eighth edition . Full Leather. Good/No Jacket. 12mo. [ii] 3 [iv-xiv], [1] 2-510, [i-xix]. Lovely contemporary leather binding with blind stamped top and bottom covers, and gilt stamped lettering on spine. Lightly raised spine bands with red leather spine label. Text block trimmed at upper edge affecting some page numbers and page titles. Modern book plate, and inked names on front paste down. Light to moderate foxing and aging. A few marginalia and a couple small tears in margins. Numerous manuscript corrections on "An Index to the Third Volume of Familiar Letters" appearing early and perhaps contemporary to publication.
