Milled edges to boards and den tels. 220 x 155mm approx. Marbled end papers with matching marbling of edges to book block. xv + 583 pages, 40 b/w illustrations. Ralph Nicholson Wornum (1812-1877) was an English artist, art historian and administrator. He was Keeper and Secretary of the National Gallery of London from 1855 until his death. This copy in a school prize binding with the crest of Haileybury College to front panel. Very Good condition with rubbing to extremities with minor scuffs, small split head of spine. College prize book plate to front paste down. Light foxing to end blanks. [736] . First Edition.. Red Leather. Very Good. 220mm. x 175mm.. Book.
