"Young Readers of America Selection." Light blue cloth boards with red an burgundy wreath decoration, burgundy lettering on cover and spine. No bumping or wear. Very slight hint of browning to edges. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Clean illustrated endpapers, with child's bookplate (no name) on front free endpaper. Pages and edges are clean. Illustrated by Leonard Vossburgh. 182 pages with index. Dust jacket is clean, has a few short closed edge tears, shallow chipping at top spine edge, one small corner chip on rear panel; enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover.
