Green cloth boards and spine with red lettering on the spine and front board. 157 pp 4to. The author was a close personal friend of Pyle before and during the war. This book is a graphic biography or a great newspaperman and soldier's best friend in the field. This book is written for those who want to know more about the life and death of Pyle. Pyle is best know for his constant coverage of the World War II as a War Correspondent from the London Blitz, to North Africa, to Sicily, to Anzio, to D-Day, to Guam and Okinawa, and his final assignment in Le Shima. This book contains many never before published photographs of Pyle. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
