Black coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. In this book the author looks at how great discoveries and inventions come about – and in this particular book focusing in on mathematics. This book is a next library book – from the Defence Research Laboratories Library. Library stamp, along with cancellation stamp to the free front end page, with cancellation stamps to the title page and free rear end page. Library barcode to the title page and the number "5562" has been stamped to the top left hand corner of the front post-down, top right hand corner of the free front end page, top right hand corner of the title page and to the corners of the rear end pages. Remnants of due back pocket can be seen to the rear end page along with dates to the top left hand corner to the rear free end page. Library barcode to the top left hand corner of the front panel and library sticker to the lower edge of the back strip. Softening, rubbing and fraying of the back strip edges; rubbing of the book corners with the underlying board visible to the lower corners. Rubbing of the book edges and panels with a line of white marks to the left hand side of the front panel. The spine is slightly cocked age toning of the text block edges and light age toning of the pages. Second Printing. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [11], XII - XIII, [2], 2 - 145, [1] pages,.
