London: J. M. Dent and Aldine House, 1901. First Thus. Finely bound by Brentano's in full crushed morocco with ornate gilt to spine and boards. Top edge gilt. Marbled endpapers. Measuring 145 x 90mm. A pretty copy, with slight bowing to boards and small bumps to corners. Small scrape to upper corner of front endpaper. Internally fresh and unmarked, featuring a frontis portrait of Bacon as well as marginal glosses throughout and a glossary at the rear.
