About This Item
Macgibbon & Kee, London., 1970. Uncorrected proof of the first edition. Octavo. 191 pages. Wrappers. Extensive corrections, often several to a page, in the author's hand. He has scored out the name of the original dedicatee (Stanley Eker) and replaced it with that of Thomas Stearns Eliot. Loosely inserted is a Typed Letter Signed by the author and dated July 14: about 60 words on his headed writing paper to an editor asking if it would be possible to include a new essay.Spine cocked. Covers a bit dusty. Very good.
