Slightly smaller book, maroon cloth, thin bright gilt border to front, gilt lettering and tiny gilt design very fine on spine, pencil name at top of first front end paper, 1.5" tear at top of title page, 3/8" tear at bottom back inner hinge, 307 lightly browned pages. Essays include: The Poet, Experience, Character, Manners, Gifts, Nature, Politics and more. Light wear to tips, very slight fading to spine top edge, light wear to spine bottom edge. Near Very Good.
