Vancouver: Poly Culture Art Centre, 2018. (CAN) Presumed 1st eidtion. No markings, very faint scuff mark to cover cloth, otherwise Fine; no dustjacket probably as published. Brown cloth hardcover, 244pp, colour photos of Yixing teapots with some portraits of the craftspeople who made them. This book accompanied a collection of 300 Yixing teapots from Beijing for a four-month exhibition at the Vancouver Poly Culture Art Center in Vancouver BC. About 200 artisans are represented in this collection. "Zisha", which literately means purple clay or purple sand, (most of the photos show tan or brown teapots) or pottery made up Yixing clay, has become collectible and popular in the contemporary China.
