London: Constable & Co. Ltd, 1929. 1st Edition. Brown Cloth. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" Large. Illustrated. 331pp. A very good first edition copy with the date 1929 on the acknowledgement page. Bound in clean brown cloth. Maps to the end papers and illustrated with numerous b/w plates throughout. There are light bumps to the head of the spine, to three board corners and to the tail of the front board. There is some foxing to the fore edges. Clean and tight. Dust wrapper is not price clipped. Several shorr tears to the wrapper edges, several repaired with tape to the reverse of the wrapper. There are a couple of chips to the tail of the wrapper and there is light creasing to the wrapper edges. Scattered soiling to the wrapper panels. A very good copy in a good wrapper.
