In 877 pages, this hardcover 8vo has rich blue cloth-covered boards stamped in gilt lettering to front & spine. Condition is Near Fine: exceptionally clean & bright, binding straight & strong, though evidence of regluing at gutter or half-title page; hinges intact. Pages creamy white & unmarked, with a whisper of tanning to all outer edges; front endpapers show heavier tanning from old magazine clipping on manners (McCalls, 1957), laid in. Former owner's name & date (1939) on ffep in light pen. Very mild rubbing to extremities & lightly bumped corners. Lacking DJ.
