About This Item

Greenwich, Connecticut: New York Graphic Society, 1965. This presumed First Edition, with no later printing history noted, is in Fine condition, with a Near-Fine unclipped dust jacket. (Click on photo.) This handsome volume was first in a series of books known as The Pallas Library of Art dealing with past civilizations. In addition to 56 pages of expository text by the author, a respected authority on Etruscan culture, the book includes 51 color plates and 62 black-and-white illustrations. The book is bound in a brick-colored cloth with gilt titles on the front panel and spine. There are no marks or inscriptions from former owners, the binding is tight and secure, and the pages are clean throughout. The Near-Fine dust jacket has light age-toning, light edge rubbing, and two small closed tears. I've placed the dust jacket into a Brodart protective sleeve. The book measures 9 5/8 by 11 inches and includes 103 pages. NOTE: The domestic Media Mail shipping cost for this volume is $3.99, as stated in shipping rates, However, Priority Airmail cost for INTERNATIONAL buyers will be adjusted after order to total $33.00 due to the book's weight and size. . Hard Cover. Fine/Near Fine. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
