London, Smith, Elder, and Co.,, 1830.. 1830 xi, 287 p. Engraved frontispiece. First edition. Contemporary black half calf with marbled boards. The spine with wide flat bands, gilt in panels. Some rubbing on the edges and corners. The frontispiece and title page toned and one sectioin (pp.33-48) heavily spotted, otherwise a pleasant copy. Inscriptions dated 1831 and 1893.
