Attractive teal boards with grey buckram spine and gilt embossing shows off this Clean, tight, square copy with no marks, highlights or bookplates. Book Well kept and carefully stored in unread condition. Slight shelf wear. An unclipped dust jacket smooth, clean and brilliant with slight shelf wear - a few stains and wrinkles. Not an ex-library, book club or remainder copy.
The final instalment of James Herriot's (Alfred Wight's) All Creatures Great and Small series, Every Living Thing is indeed a grand farewell for and to the author's veterinarian memoirs, not only revisiting the familiar but also introducing novel characters and scenarios.
Laughter and tears, joy and heartbreak, entertainment and thought-provoking authorial musings on life, on animals, on humanity in general, Every Living Thing is a lovely, but also somewhat saddening and sobering conclusion to the All Creatures Great and Small series, saddenining in particular because we all know that Alfred Wight died of prostate cancer in 1995 and that Every Living Thing thus truly represents the author's swan song.
