About This Item

New York: The Ridgeway Company, 1910. 1st Edition . Soft cover. Good-. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. See photos for condition details. This is a bound edition of Everybody's Magazine from July through December of 1910. Authors include Maximilian Foster, Rex Beach, William Hard, G.W. Ogden, Edna Ferber, Jack London (The Madness of John Harned), O. Henry and dozens of others. Each edition starts with the page that shows the contents for that month. Each frontispiece is also included. The volume is bound in brown wraps with a handwritten title on the spine. The wraps are brittle and show chipping and creases along the edges, spine is chipped and show staining. There is an issue after the first contents page where the binding is pulling away from the spine and needs reglued. The remaining binding is tight and pages show toning and some foxing/spotting, but nothing serious. The book contains 864 pages but then there is another nine pages (numbered 67-70 and 99-104) the first section is to continue the last article and the 99-104 section is to continue "Under the Prophet in Utah" from the article at page 737. No signatures or bookplates present, no library markings, and the only handwriting found was that on the exterior spine.

Terms of Sale

Yesterday's Book Shop (Member IOBA)

Purchases will ship by US Media Mail or Priority Mail (if buyer selects) and higher priced items may have insured placed on the order and will typically ship within one business day. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 5 lbs., but only in unusual cases. Insurance is available upon request though we normally place insurance on any item of $75 or higher at no additional cost to the buyer. Non-US sales will ship by First Class International or Global Priority. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 4 lbs.

We always take extra care in packaging and shipping. Books are typically wrapped in packing paper or bubblewrap before packaged in a sturdt shipping box. All orders, even those shipped by US Media Mail, will be given a USPS tracking number which will be sent to the buyer so they will know when to expect arrival. Please let us know if there is a book with incorrect or missing photos. We recently moved the inventory to Biblio and a title or two may have had issues with the photos being transferred over.

Yesterday's Book shop is owned and operated by a disabled veteran. Due to my limitations, I often have to rely on speech-to-text software to list the books. If the description has typos ("and pages" instead of "end pages", pace downs instead of pastedowns, guilt instead of gilt, etc,) PLEASE let me know so I can correct the listing. The software spells words by phonetics and can make errors that I may not catch.

There is a 30 day money back guarantee if the book arrives damaged or is not as described. Please contact us prior if you have any issues with your purchases and we will make sure you are taken care of.

About Yesterday's Book Shop (Member IOBA)

Yesterday's Book Shop is an independent, family-owned establishment. The store first opened in 1966 under the name Collector's Corner and was located in Western Maryland. The Collector's Corner dealt mainly in books but also sold stamps and assorted ephemera. In 1975 the name was changed to Yesterday's Book Shop when the store only offered books and printed matter. In the early 2000s the brick and mortar store was closed and now we only sell online.

All of the book pictures were taken at the time the book was listed and we never use generic or stock photos in any listing. If you would like additional photos or information on any listing please let us know and we will be more than happy to comply.
