New York: Simon and Schuster, 1958. Boards. Very Good +/Good +. A perfectly serviceable copy of the 1958 stated 1st printing. Solid and VG+ (light offsetting to the endsheets, 1 small stamp [the letter 'H'] at the front pastedown) in a bright, price-intact, Good+ dustjacket, with light abrading at the front panel and clear tape evenly applied at the inside of the dustjacket to reinforce the spine ends, particualry the spine base. One of MacDonald's best-known works, the basis for the chilling 1962 Robert Mitchum film, re-titled "Cape Fear"
