New York: Viking, 1955. First edition. Cloth-backed decorated paper-covered boards in dust jacket; 8vo. 118 pp. w/ index. Awarded the Lamont Prize for best first book (he had published three previous books, including two Fantasy Press editions in GB.) Inscribed by the poet "For Roy, Visiting my first books some thirty five years later!" and signed in full and dated 21 April, 1990. Lamont notice tipped to front fly, else about fine, the endpapers bright; in a complete lightly worn, faded at extremities about very good dust jacket.
