About This Item
Stated First Edition/First Printing with the complete number line on the last page in the first state dust jacket; a Very Good book in a Near Fine dust jacket. An excellent copy of this important work of horror fiction and basis for the seminal movie starring Linda Blair. This copy is in very good or better condition with only a mild slant to the binding, minor rubbing to the edges, and one lightly bumped corner; housed in a crisp and clean near fine dust jacket that shows only light rubbing and chipping to the spine ends and a gentle age-toning to the back cover and flaps. A highly presentable and collectible copy! Not remaindered, not price clipped ($6.95 intact), not ex-library; in a protective Mylar cover and will ship in a sturdy box.
Synopsis
The Exorcist is a horror novel written by William Peter Blatty. It is based on a 1949 exorcism Blatty heard about while he was a student in the class of 1950 at Georgetown University, a Jesuit and Catholic school. The exorcism was purportedly performed in Mount Rainier, Maryland.
Reviews
Great book. Captures the very essence of the movie and gives more to the reader. One of the best horror stories written all time.
