New York, New York, U.S.A.: Roy Publishers, Inc., 1968. CE2 - DJ is mylar protected. A hard cover 2nd printing book in very good+ condition with a dust jacket in good+ to very good- condition. A tight, clean, sound copy in red textured paper covered boards with black lettering and graphics on the spine with very minor overall shelf wear with some light label staining on the front fixed endpaper plus there is some very, very light yellowing of the outside paper edges. The dust jacket shows minor overall shelf wear with some very, very light edge wear along the top and bottom edges which is heavier with some very, very light chipping along the top and bototm spine edges and the right corners plus some very light scattered overall rubbing and soiling. plus there is a small closed tear (about 0.25") on the top spine edge. A book that is a collection of retellings of the experiences of European explorers and travelers form the 13th century to the 19th century. The events depicted rane from the court of Kublai Khan during the first European visit to China by Marco Polo, the world of Mozambique when Vasco da Gama in the 16th century, the Hawaiian Islands when Captain Cook saw them in the 18th century, and the Africa experienced by David Livingstone. Illustrated with line drawn maps. 245p.. 2nd Printing. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. 5.25"x7.5".
