Maroon cloth, titles stamped in black on the front cover with "We Never Sleep" logo stamped in gilt on the front cover and titles stamped in gilt on the spine, light yellow front and rear endpapers, [7] - 9 - 278 pp., preface, frontispiece, illustrated, plates. All tissues present. Laid-in to this copy is a promotional slip from the publisher promoting this book and advising the titles of the next three titles written by Pinkerton and in the works for publication. The first book by Pinkerton and the company was one of the first to use the term "private eye." The contents are all true stories of his life as a detective. A Haycraft-Queen Cornerstone. Lightly rubbed at spine ends and corners else a very good copy.
