About This Item
Hartford, Connecticut: Case, Lockwood and Company, 1864. First edition [1864]. History and genealogical notes of Colchester, Connecticut. Lightly worn copy with additional biographical note about Taintor written on an advertisment for three Colchester businesses plus the post office, laid in loosely at the front. Dark brown textured cloth with gilt spine lettering, 156 pages. Externally well-preserved from being covered in a makeshift dustjacket which darkened the endpapers but kept the covers in very good condition with only light edge rubbing and a small chip to the front joint. The hinges are internally lightly cracked but secure, minor chipping at the lower edge of the rear hinge with accompanying tiny chips to the final few pages, not affecting text. Text block sound, pages clean with a small transparent spot to the upper margins of last few pages, no names or other markings.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
