About This Item

Viking, NY, 1949., 1949. Hardcover. Very Good/Fair. Octavo, hardcover, light tanning to page edges else near fine in lightly edgeworn gray pictorial dj. First edition. 312 pages. Endpapers illustrated with 4-color Bemelmans art--the inn in a snowstorm, ski-life and mountains in the background. Set in Tyrol, about some good and honest people--as well as some gaudy and highly entertaining Bemelmans "characters". A story of the love of a father for his son.
