Hodder & Stoughton, 1961. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1961. 2nd impression. 679 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Orange cloth with gilt titles to spine. Book has been rebound by library, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Includes photographic plates. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Reinforced hinges. A few dog-eared corners. Occasional minor stains and marks. Boards have some edge wear, with pronounced bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are slightly crushed and frayed. Small split to lower front joint. Rather scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Book has a slight forward lean. Spine is slightly sunned. Gilt is dulled and worn.
