Journalist Don Reid spent 35 years covering the Texas prison system for the Huntsville Item and the Associated Press; he spent countless hours speaking with and as an advocate for death row prisoners. In this work he recounts stories from those many years. Henry Schwartzchild was a civil and human rights activist who founded The National Coalition To Abolish The Death Penalty.
