Paris: Librairie De L. Hachette et Cie, 1867. Hardcover. Very Good. 2 volumes. Thick folios, lx, 317 [1]; 383pp. 85 full page plates combined, with numerous head and tail-pieces by Gustave Dore. Full page plates with tissue guards. Rubricated titles and borders. Bound in full light burgundy morocco with 6 compartment and 5 raised bands. Spines faded and unevenly faded boards. Light wear to head and foot of spine, with several spine nicks. Gilt ruled borders, corners a little rubbed, wide inner turn-ins with silk paste-down and front endpapers, all edges gilt. Light sporadic foxing throughout but overall a very clean copy in a tight and square binding. Overall a nice, clean set.
