Paris: Chez Didier, 1839. 24mo (approx. 5½" x 3½" overall), pp. [2], xviii, 398; 82 woodcuts; contemporary full sheep, gilt spine; the sheep pockmarked and rehinged; spine ends restored, front free endpaper and flyleaves perished, rear free endpaper also perished; possibly a remboitage binding. Internally rather clean and the binding is sound. Of this edition, only the Univ. of Pittsburg and Victoria & Albert Museum in OCLC. Two other Didier editions appeared earlier, one an octavo in 1834 (without La vie d'Ésope), and with 472 pages; another in 1837 with 339 pages and 3 plates.
