Hurst & Company. Fair. c. 1890. Hardcover. ; Green cloth cover with gilt and black stamped design is frayed at corners and spine caps with general wear and soiling. Boards and spine are straight. Backstrip has been somewhat crudely reglued with abrasions from old tape repairs to end sheets and paste downs. Frontispiece protected by tissue. 2" old tape repair to tile page. Pages are toned with modest sparse thumbing but overall quite clean and very good. Profusely illustrated in b&w. .
