Signed by author on title page; Octavo (18.5 cm); blue boards stamped in silve on spine; dustjacket; 164pp.; cracked at p145; rubbing at bottom of front board. A VG solid copy. The dustjacket is unclipped (priced 12s 6d.) There are moderate tape repairs to the verso, mending a detached front flap and several tears. Good only with large chip at crown. First Impression of the Nobel laureate's first book.
