Red cloth boards with ivory cloth overlay on the spine with bright gilt lettering and decorations on the spine and front board; Pilgrim character on front board. Clean internals; internal hinges are sound and not split. 174 pp 12mo. This book is set in and near London in the in the latter half of the 17th Century when the Civil War, Oliver Cromwell's Protectorate, and King Charles's Restoration give abundant opportunities for fighting, plotting and rescuing. As may be surmised, this story abounds in rapid action and cannot fail to please the adventure-loving people who dream at home of daring deeds. A book designed for the adolescent reader. A clean very presentable copy.
