Collins, 1964. Very Good. First edition. 8vo, pp. (384). Orange cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Slight lean to spine, head and tail of spine lightly bruised, bump to bottom edge of lower board. Light spotting to edges, prelims and rear endpapers. Loss (6 x 1.5cm) to fore-edge of ffep. Else, clean and tight. In VG original DJ - soiling, edgewear, a few nicks. Armstrong's fictional foray into medieval Yorkshire and its religious cultures and institutions, including Rievaulx Abbey.
