Attractively bound in dark blue leather with gilt titles and marbled paper covered boards, with marbled endpapers, top edge gilting and green ribbon markers, original wrappers bound in. 75 stories by Italian author and fairy-tale collector Giovanni Francesco Straparola. Modeled after Boccaccio's "Decameron," regarded as the first European storybook to contain fairy-tales. Minor wear at the spine extremities, else very good plus, very attractive set. . 1st.
