Dust jacket created by John Anthony Miller, artist, bookseller and friend of Ray Bradbury for 28 years, to fit the Simon & Schuster 50th Anniversary hardback edition of this classic work, published in 2013

He wanted his book to look GOOD! This particular rendition was done after and in the style the 1953 hardback edition after the fantastic Joseph Mugnaini dust jacket art. I added a few modifications to bring it up to speed, like the modified title and new publisher. I left the rest along, as much as possible to reflect the spirit of the original 1953 first edition. Ray Bradbury himself APPROVED this design and ordered a stack of these jackets to give out to friends. This is the way the book should have been issued 50 years later! This jacket will fit all the 2003 printings to date of the hardbacks --- which are 8-3/4 inches tall. The way the book was issued, the 50th Anniversary Edition, in black and red, was dull and boring, this will fit over it, or on the book. Looks great! The jacket is signed on the back by myself, in pencil, John Anthony Miller, artist. Illus. by Joseph Mugnaini.
