Light blue cloth boards pictorially stamped in purple. Cloth shows light sun-fading to spine and along top edge. Interior is clean and crisp. Dust jacket not price clipped; in a clear archival sleeve. [32] pages. 9 x 7.5 inches. A young Peruvian boy living in the Andes with his grandmother takes his first harvest to market with the aid of magic flute. Illustrations and calligraphy by Carlos Llerena Aguire. Carlos Antonio Llerena Aguirre (b. 1952) was born in Peru and is an award-winning illustrator, artist and printmaker. He was staff artist for the Village Voice and the San Francisco Chronicle and his drawings and woodcuts have been published in the New York Times. He has taught at the School of Visual Arts, Philadelphia University of the Arts, Syracuse University, California College of Arts and Crafts, University of California Berkeley, Ringling School of Art and Design, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Poynter Institute for Media Studies, and the University of Miami.
