Los Angeles: Shanghai Amerian School, 1997. First Edition. Softcover. Near fine. Large trade paperback (10" x 7"), 412 pp, with illustrations from photographs. Slight curling and edgewear to covers, else fine. Scarce history of the Shanghai American School, a day and boarding school founded in 1912 to educate the children of American missionaries. The school soon attracted and enrolled students from the business and professional communities, as well as English-speaking children of Europeans.
