Boston: New York Graphic Society, 1975. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good+. Signed by Author(s). Inscribed by Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. on half-title page. Stated First Edition. Boards in gray cloth with silver lettering on spine. Some fading along top edge of boards. Small spot of soiling in the bottom margin of a few pages of the foreword and introduction; sticker ghost on front pastedown, else interior is clean and unmarked. Top and bottom edges of the reverse side of the dust jacket were peremptorily reinforced with masking tape; jacket not price clipped; in an archival mylar sleeve. 287 pages. A visual presentation of the linked lives and careers of the Fairbanks family: Douglas Fairbanks Sr. and his wife Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks Jr. Inscribed in 1976 by Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. to Joshua and Nedda Logan, possibly in the rain, as it looks like a few raindrops hit the page. Joshua Logan (1908-1988), a notable theatre and film director, producer, actor, and playwright and screenwriter. In 1948, he won two Tony Awards, for writing and directing the Broadway hit ''Mister Roberts.'' He shared the 1950 Pulitzer Prize in drama, along with Rodgers and Hammerstein, for his work on ''South Pacific.'' His many directing credits include the films Bus Stop (1956), which starred Marilyn Monroe, and Camelot (1967), which starred Richard Harris and Vanessa Redgrave. Inscribed ''To dear Nedda & Josh - / Who had ringside seats on / so much of this -- with the unlimited / admiration and affection of the / subject of about half of / [The Fairbanks Album]! / Douglas / Apr. 26th 1976 / New York City''.
