[Fairhope, AL: The Civic League, 1920. Buff paperwraps, covers illustrated with scenes of the harbor and beach (front) and golf links (rear). 8 1/2 x 15 1/2 cm. (16) pp. of promotional text and photo illustrations. Fairhope, founded as a single tax colony, was also a resort community offering fishing, golf, beaches, etc. No listings on OCLC. A summer visitor has annotated this copy in the margins of a few pages, saying she bought some china at a local shop, and noting that they went bathing on the beach one rainy afternoon: "Tied our wedding rings on - much fun!" Accompanying the brochure is a single sheet, folded, 8 x 15 cm. (4) pp., a promotional for the "Colonial Inn, Fairhope, Ala." [consisting of a photo illustration of the hotel, two pages of text, and a photo illustration of the sun parlor]. This promotional is annotated in the same hand: "This is where we were--"
