(UK) Missing the title page, frontis, cover edges show some wear, base of spine worn, original endpapers, hinges fine, otherwise decent Acceptable copy. 17 x 10 cm, marble paper over boards, 3/4 leather, raised spine hubs with gold floral patterns, leather title label, marbled endpapers, [1] 2- 206pp. "T. Miller, printer, Noble Street, Cheapside, London". This is possibly the second edition of 1820. The first edition has vi pages of preliminary material, and a frontis., which is not present in this copy. Taylor was born in London in 1757. Her father, who died when she was a child, was an evangelical preacher. Her mother married again and her new siblings bullied her. She found respite writing satire and verse which gave her increased status among her school peers. Among those peers was Isaac Taylor and at Islington on 18 April 1781 she married him. They had eleven children and five survived to adulthood and to be noted writers She died in 1830.( 1.2 JM HOQ 100/2. Hardcover. Acceptable/No Jacket. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.

Postage is $6.99 US, media mail for the first book the US weighing up to 2 pounds; $3.00 for each additional book for shipping by media mail to the US for books weighing up to 2 pounds. Books weighing more than 2 pounds, and priority shipping will be quoted. We are glad to quote delivery cost to international buyers. Books are carefully wrapped and shipped in corrugated cardboard cartons. Books are returnable for a full refund if the book is not as described.
