Philadelphia & London: J B Lippincott Company, 1901. No edition stated (hardback). 8vo (21cm by 14cm), xv, 297pp. Colour frontispiece, b&w plates. Original red cloth, gilt titling to the spine, gilt titling and design to the front board, top edge gilt. There is some scuffing and staining of the binding, and the front inner hinge is repaired; overall, this book is in fair condition.

We are a medium-sized bookshop located in a small country town in the west of England. The shop is open for business from 1030 to 1700 Monday to Saturday. The building is a fifteenth-century former public house. We are still awaiting the day when we find a book older than the shop itself!
