London: Jarrolds, 1939. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Book has bumped and frayed edges, green stripe on bottom surface of text. Binding is sound, pages unmarked. Long, amusing, 2-page inscription and verse poem hand written by author on first endsheet and half title page. A pencilled note on FPD says this inscription/poem was to Clarence Decker, president of Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1942. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately.
