Blue cloth boards with unchipped gold lettering on spine. No bumping or wear. Binding is tight, hinges are sound, pages are clean. Small previous owner name at top edge of front free endpaper - no other writing or marks. Black & white illustrations. 384 pages. Jacket is clean, has very shallow chipping at top spine edge; enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. A Lancaster County Amish farmer remembers the depression and talks about the history of farming in America, concentrating on the changes which have taken place in rural life over the past fifty or more years..
