Beige card covers with a lovely apple tree in red, brown and green, and elaborate below-ground root system. Some light staining and peeling to card covers. Illustrated by photographs, diagrams. Book includes state-by-state testimonials of how much the instructions helped on various farms. Booklet was set up to be mailed, as there is a "Place one-cent stamp here" box along with the Du Pont address to rear of booklet. note: A more-than-century-old, antique artifact for historical or amusement purposes only. Laid in: Farmer's Bulletin No. 4 published by DuPont from January 1917 entitled "Agricultural Promotion Work : Cheaper Land Clearing." "This book is intended to point out the advantages of the use of explosives for various purposes on the farm, and to give instructions for their use...The first part is to emphasize the different purposes for which explosives may be used, ahnd the technical supplement is to describe the most approved methods of blasting."
