[light wear to extremities, a couple of penciled aphorisms on the ffep, along with a previous owner's name and date (all erasable upon request); jacket has tiny chips at spine ends, another at top of rear panel, light soiling to rear panel]. "How Men and Women Can Make a Place for Themselves in Apparel, Textile or Retail Store Fields." The author was placement director of the Fashion Institute of Technology, a State University of New York (SUNY) college of art, business, design, and technology connected to the fashion industry, at which post "and as a result of research, she has gained an expert knowledge of the inner workings of the textile and apparel business." And even today -- sixty years after the publication of this book -- she is still listed on the school's website as "Professor Emerita of Illustration." .
