Blue buckram boards with gilt titles and gilt and blue pictorial design to front. Lightly rubbed to edges in places. Top edge of text block gilt. Front hinge cracked and the first gather is a little loose binding is otherwise secure. Internally clean. 394pp 20cm x 14cm approx. Stories of everyday country life in Connemara in western Ireland in the latter half of the nineteenth century. Illustrated with 8 black and white plates and map.
