About This Item

Paris: Chez L’Artiste, 1925. First Edition of this folio of ten satirical scenes of Paris nightlife, akin to the German art of the time of Grosz, Dix and others, depicting what powerful contemporaries termed degenerates, an objectionable and odious characterization. Each lithograph is mounted on a larger card, highlighted in watercolor. As usual with such publications, there were various issues on different papers, with varied limitations. This copy is out-of-series, not numbered; presumably one of the edition of 1000. Complete with the title leaf, limitation leaf, plates and folio, all of which are in very good condition.
