London: Thomas Bosworth, 1854. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 1st Edition. Slim 4to, vi + pp54 plus 12 circular chromolithograph plates with tissue guards surrounded by gilt decorated wreath of plants/foliage of birds habitat. Red cloth binding with gilt lettering and designs to spine and front board in very good condition with a little fading to gilt on spine and a few small marks to boards with old water damage? to back top corner, although this has not affected pages. Inside previous owners has discretely inscribed to wife on bottom back of first plate(sweet!). All pages with full edge gilt in very good/clean condition with a little intermittent foxing throughout. A very good copy of a beautiful book.
