This is a Near Fine copy of the First English Edition of his first play, which was a stunning success when performed in London in a production by Joan Littlewood. Uncommon to scarce in the First Edition. Black cloth binding with gilt lettering on the spine. Clean text; 86 pages. Small bookseller's label on front paste-down; gift inscription on the FFEP; light bump to one corner. The dustwrapper is unclipped; shows a bit of edgewear and rubbing at the margins. In an archival plastic protector. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First UK Edition.. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good Plus. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
