About This Item

Hollywood, California: Heavy Industry Publications, 1971. First Edition. Wraps. Very good. Limited to 3,900 copies. Octavo: [64] p. with 14 photographic images. Original plain black paper wrappers. The label of Ruscha's distributor, Wittenborn and Company, appears on the rear flyleaf. Some minor edgewear; otherwise very good.

The first and only edition of this survey of palm trees in Los Angeles, supplying the location of each opposite the image. Like Ruscha (b.1937) himself, palm trees are not native to the city with which they are so intimately connected.
